Aerial Circus

There are two erroneous media formulated mythologies that people who want to sleep with me tend to attach to my personality without prompting; I call them curses. The Clementine Kruczynski curse and the Marla Singer curse.

Try as I might, I cannot escape that manic pixie dream girl shit. I mean, those fictional ladies are pretty cool and I get why you are in love with them, but I am a real, actual lady vastly more complicated than a character. Which should go without saying, but very rarely does?

I guess if you’re independent, quirky, blunt and struggling with mental illness there’s only so many boxes that those who put people in boxes have to stick you in. Except that I’m actually way much more liable to dump your ass than save you from yourself, so. At first whiff of the Clementine/Marla curse, I bolt.
